"Looking at Student Work" Conference

March 20, 2019

Location: Francis W. Parker Charter Essential School, Devens, MA
Presented by the Francis W. Parker Charter Essential School; sponsored by NEASC

Join Parker teachers and fellow middle and high school educators interested in authentic standards-based assessment to look closely at student work. We bring folks together for a shared professional development experience to look at students' work, learn from peers' observations of the work, and deepen our collaborative skills using protocols to promote voice equity and guide discussions to places of robust learning.

Participants will use protocols to describe what they see in the student work, referring to articulated Criteria for Excellence, associated rubrics, and the work itself. Participants will also have a chance to build bridges between schools, extend their community of practice, and strengthen one another’s work.

Registration is free.
